What is your payment policy?
Full payment is required upon check-out. We accept cash, Visa, and Mastercard. A deposit is required for all hospitalized patients.
Do I need an appointment for my pet to be seen?
We do require you to schedule an appointment for your pet during our hours of operation.
What is required for my pet to undergo a surgical procedure at your hospital?
All patients are to be current on vaccines, heartworm testing, and FLV/FIV testing. A thorough physical exam performed by Dr. Furman is necessary prior to surgery.
Why should my dog have a Heartworm Test every year if he/she’s on heartworm preventative year round?
Nothing is 100% guaranteed to protect against heartworm disease. It is in your pet’s best interest to monitor for this disease. Also, the yearly test that we perform each year monitor’s not only for heartworm disease but also tick born diseases as well. In addition, in order to guarantee products drug manufacturers require testing.

Should I bring a yearly fecal sample with my pet’s wellness visit?
A yearly fecal sample is recommended each year to check for intestinal parasites that your pet might be carrying. This reduces the risk of zoonotic infections.
